New this year:
*Apple Spider: Warm spiced apple cider doughnuts kissed with a glaze made of vanilla bean marshmallows. Too good.
*Black Cat: A feline friend with eyes as orange as jack-o-lanterns. This smells like a Fall evening spent toasting pumpkin-spiced marshmallows at a neighborhood bonfire, with dry, crunchy leaves underfoot.
*Will O Wisp: Ethereal musk, crushed Turkish figs, glowing red Sandalwood, and Cassis
Known by many names and written of in the stories of countless cultures, the Will o Wisp is a floating, dancing cluster of light which may be simply swamp gas ignited by an mystery spark, or a physical manifestation of otherworldly consciousness. Don't follow one wherever it may lead, whatever you do.
And, returning this year, from Halloweens past:
*Baba Yaga: The forest floor, fallen leaves, chrysanthemums, spiced black tea, dried citrus rinds, beeswax, patchouli, and a curl of smoke coming from the chimney she flies in and out of.
*Bobbing For Apples: Fresh Apples, Apple Skin, Bonfire Smoke, Hay Bales, steeped in Tonka Beans.
*Boo Hag: Southern peaches, ripe from harvest. Palmetto fronds, cotton bolls, magnolia blossoms and Spanish moss, touched with a hint of incense and patchouli.
*Burning Times: Vanilla, Clove, Patchouli, Pink Peppercorn, a hint of Suede, Red Musk, Sandalwood, Cinnamon, Cedarwood, and the smoldering Embers of a thousand years.
*Calaveras: Named for the sugar skulls which adorn the Day of the Dead altars, this fragrance is sweet and spicy. Cinnamon, sugar, orange, and sweet breads dressed up with a smattering of dried roses on a sandalwood altar.
*Camp Crystal Lake: Deceptively still waters hide an unspeakable darkness just beneath the surface. Crystalline waters, Canoes, Carnations, Spruce forest, Sandalwood, and bone Musk.
*ChocoPumpkin: this is an awesome pumpkin spice and cocoa scent, which smells like a slice of pumpkin pie dipped in chocolate! Spicy cinnamon and clove notes, with a mellow cocoa absolute to balance them out perfectly. Think "Pumpkin Truffle" and you'll have a pretty good idea of what this one smells like. So good!
*County Fair: Ripe peaches, Macintosh apples, pumpkin pie, mandarins, black currants, raw honey, plums, Bartlett pears, just-baled hay, orange blossom, and white amber.
*Final Girl: A crushed corsage of Magnolias and Carnations, the Musky Cologne of a Maniac, a whiff of Oil from a freshly-sharpened Chainsaw blade, and the paralyzing scent of Fear.
*The Great Pumpkin: Spiced Pumpkin with lashings of Orange blossom honey, wild Roses clambering over ancient Oaks, Ginger, Frankincense, Myrrh, and Amber.
*Green Lady: Green Bartlett Pears, a basket of Figs, and an apparition of spectral Musk.
*Hayrides & Hijinks: A seasonally-appropriate addition to your fragrance wardrobe. I took everything you love about Fall (well, okay, maybe not EVERYTHING, because let's face it, that might be weird) and put it all in a bottle for you. Pumpkin spice lattes, a favorite leather jacket, a hayride past tobacco fields to pick the perfect pumpkin, and vanilla bean caramels.
*Jack. In Black: Charred, blackened, dirty pumpkin flesh, Arabian musk, Pomegranate, Tea, and a handful of penny candy snatched from an unsuspecting trick-or-treater's pillowcase..
*Ravensblood: The last blackberries of the year, dark musk, licorice spiked with clove, guiacwood, labdanum, sandalwood, patchouli, and a bright twist of lemon.
*Ritual: To help you focus your intention, a centering blend of heady resins and essences. Floral Champa, Copal, Dragon's Blood, Patchouli, Lemon, Sandalwood, and wisps of smoke.
*Seance: Nutty bold-roast coffee, heavy oak furniture, carved sandalwood totems, dried herbs, neroli, vanilla'd figs, and a wreath of clary sage to ward off bad spirits.
*Se7en: Damp, almost peppery, freshly-dug soil, rolls of sod, floral arrangements, Ferns, Woods, and an uninvited guest, watching from the outskirts.
*Slenderman: The cologne of a well-dressed man, hidden in plain sight among trees and ferns in a creepy copse, the creaking of a heavy mahogany door in an abandoned forest retreat nobody has entered in decades.
*Smashing: Sooty charred pumpkins, their smashed flesh strewn along sidewalks and on door stoops, dried apricots and figs, and a smidge of sandalwood.
*Spectre: Barely-there, an echo of the past? Or perhaps a supernatural visitor. Light and ethereal and perfect for cooler weather. Milk Sugar, Vanilla, and Tonka beans on a base of Skin Musk.
*Sticky Fingers: A light, white scent comprised entirely of foody notes. Keep away from children and pets and anyone who doesn't know better than to eat perfume. No, really. Creamy white chocolate, gooey marshmallow, a plump dollop of cream cheese frosting, tonka bean absolute, and warmed coconut milk.
*Sweet Tooth: Om-nommable. Pumpkin spice caramels, Milk Chocolates, Vanilla wafers, Orange-flavored hard candies, in an Amber glass dish.
*Talisman: An ensemble of herbs and essences worn to protect. Herbal and uplifting, this fragrance can be used as a personal fragrance on your skin or, if you'd prefer, use it for candle dressing and anointing. A mostly natural essential oil blend, save for the addition of a synthetic beeswax note. Lemongrass, Cedar, Patchouli, White Sage, Star Anise, Holy Basil, Ginger, Angelica Root, and a Beeswax candle.
*Treat: Sweet black currant syrup, Figs, Cream, Fresh Ginger, Dried Leaves, and Angelica Root.
*Trick: Sensuous, Floral Amber, Skin Musk, Sandalwood, Oak, Pomegranates, and Sweet Oranges and Plums.
*Who Was Phone: Dad's cologne, Powdery perfume splash, freshly-Shampooed hair, and a stolen bottle of red Wine from Mom's secret stash.
*Zalgo: The scent of those unnamed things which lurk and creep where we can't see them; say their names, and they will come. The Green scent of brush underfoot, murky grey Puddles, wilted, faded Flowers, ritual Herbs, sharp peppery Musk, tinged with Fear.
A handful of these won't be available in anything other than pefume oil this year, at least initially, and the quantities of those will be very limited- I had a limited amount of certain components needed to make these fragrances and with the number of scents being offered this year, I didn't want to go too nuts with the restocks. The fragrances only available in a limited amount are: ChocoPumpkin, Se7en, Slenderman, and Treat. Everything else is in good supply, so they should be available throughout the Halloween/Fall shopping season.
